About this design
Two black cats sit facing each other on top of a decorative rule, and the verse runs beneath them across five lines, alternating between spaced capitals and a slanted script. Crossed broomsticks close the composition at the bottom. It is a dense, symmetrical layout — more folk art than novelty print — and works on both the black and orange colourways.
